Improve your Double Glazing with Window Film

During the summer months, PVCU windows or any other type of window allows sunlight into the house which may mean you get hot and therefore you turn on your air conditioning system. The opposite of this is during winter when the heat within your house escapes through your windows which means you will turn the heating on to keep the whole house warm. Double glazed windows are great to reduce this heat leaving your house but to further help you can apply window film to your windows.

Since the most of the heat that comes into your home is from the sun and this can cause damage to your furniture. You can block this out with normal curtains or blinds but this can block the light coming into your house. A different way is to apply tinted window film to your double glazing. This will reduce the light and heat entering a room without completely blocking them out. This means that you will have a better environment in your house so won’t have to turn on lights, air conditioners and heating and will therefore save money.

Other benefits of applying window films to your PVCU windows are that they can offer privacy to your windows which is good if you live in an area where a lot of people walk past. Also, you can purchase patterned film to apply to your double glazing which will add to the decor of your room. There are a wide range of patterns and styles available so that you will be able to find ones to match the decor of the double glazing windows in each room of your house.

The Story of Lady Godiva

Since its Friday we thought we’d have a little fun with our blog post today and retell a famous legend about the city of Coventry.

Since we are a Coventry double glazing company, we enjoy the history of the city we’ve been based in since 1996. Coventry was quite a famous city during the Second World War bombings and was the only British City to lose a Cathedral. Another famous story from the history of Coventry is that of Lady Godiva.
